Baby Harper | DFW newborn photographer

I loved this session from before we headed to Colorado!  Harper was BRAND new, at only 6 days old I believe when these were taken.  She slept and curled like a little champ.

*As a side note, if you are wanting to book a newborn session, please call me while you are pregnant to book! We’ll pencil in your due date work around your new little ones arrival. The sooner you get in to see me the better because they grow so fast and stay awake much longer as each day goes by …

OK, anyway, I really loved this family!  Such great people who are so in love with their first child.  Isn’t she just gorgeous?!  I loved the few things mom brought along for her first session … isn’t that headband and tiny bracelet so cute?!

the first family photo! some parents opt to be in the newborn shoot, others dont … its really totally up to you! I love both!!

There is nothing quite like the feeling of being a new mom!

If you’ve followed my blog for any amount of time, you’re aware of my loooove for baby yawns. Seriously, is there anything cuter?

Well, maybe baby smiles … :)

One of favorite newborn shots of all time.  Love this.

Jill and Shaun, thank you SO much for choosing me to photograph such a special time in your lives! You were both a complete joy to work with and I am eager to watch little Harper grow into the amazing little girl I know she will be.

And, to share what mom and dad chose for their art piece from the session.  A 30×30 Gallery Wrapped Canvas Collage.  These are completely custom designed to match your images!  Here were the final two. Mom chose the last one and these mock ups do the final product NO justice!!!  I cannot decide which to print for the studio!! That’s how in love with these I am!!  What do you think?

And, as a little sells pitch to prospective clients :)   This is just a taste of what separates a custom portrait studio from all the choices out there!  We realize what an investment custom photography is and that is why we take the ordering process seriously!  We want to love what you go home with more than you do :)   My philosophy is to spend your budget on something unique and invest in artwork of your family to decorate your home!  Of all the money I have personally spent over the years, the images of my family and especially my little girl (yes, I have HIRED and PAID a professional!) that are hanging on my wall have grown in value over time for me! All the 5x7s and 8x10s I’ve printed and spent money on are sadly stuffed away in drawers, etc.

Plus, seriously … what would be cuter in your newborns nursery than a huge canvas like this one on their wall??

While I always am 100% involved with the final outcome of what clients take home, I often don’t get to see the final product on the wall (and it KILLS me)!  For a limited time, I will be offering a $75 portrait credit to any past client who can send me some images of my work on their walls!  I want to see YOUR life as Art on YOUR wall … and of course, I want to share a few!

remember sweet Aurora Grace? | dfw newborn photographer

If you didn’t already see Miss Aurora Grace enter this world, you should definitely take a minute to witness the miracle of her birth HERE.

I was so excited to get to see this little cutie again.  She did NOT want to sleep. I promise, we tried EVERYTHING … but hey, what’s wrong with an adorable wide awake newborn anyway :)   She’s wearing her great-grandmother’s pearls and laying on her fur coat! How wonderfully nostalgic and cute all at the same time … She will cherish these forever I am sure. Isn’t she beautiful?

Isn’t she?  You may remember little Aubrie from a few weeks ago. I got to see her again when she was almost 5 weeks.

She wanted NO part is sleeping for me. She had other plans in mind, and I think I should have listened to her from the start :)

My first newborn in the studio.

I just LOVE her little feet here, and especially those little rolls :) .  She’s had those since the minute she was born.

And, she was the perfect little model for my new hat.  We did manage to get a few sleepy ones, but I wanted to share these since they are so different from my normal newborn work.

The best part is … I get to see her again in TWO days!  Yaya!  Aren’t you jealous I get to smooch those cheeks :)

suggles and smiles | keller newborn photographer

I have been photographing new little baby boys like crazy!  Something is definitely in the water :)

Welcome little Graham Alan Kaler.  If that isn’t a strong name, I dont know what is!  This little man holds a special place in my heart because Mike and I recently became friends with his mommy and daddy.  His grandmas have been in town all week to watch him enter the world and to get exclusive snuggle time! It was the first audience I’ve ever had at a shoot and I must say I nearly fumbled (literally), but little Graham performed like an all-star.  Just take a look for yourself!

I love how each session for me is so unique. I really don’t want to do the same things over and over. I love the rich, classic feel to this session as opposed to my light and fluffy post from before.  I love both equally, they are just unique!

Aren’t his little lips just the cutest??

blog3

I told you he brought his A game. Considering both of his parents were college athletes, I wouldn’t expect anything less!

New family shots are some of my very favorite to capture.  Um … not to toot my own horn, but can you believe that first image?  First smiles at 6 days old  … (I don’t care what the doctors call it :) )

blog1

and yes … I got it again!  My photographer friends are going to squeal (they’ve already been hounding me about how I get the tiny ones to smile and I was honest when I said “they just really love me” :)

blog5

And finally, some sweet snuggles from the GORGEOUS Grandmas!

blog2Matt and Candice, thank you both so much for trusting me with such important “first” images of your little guy. He is absoultely precious and I look forward to watching him grow up!! So glad we have met you both :)

light and fluffy | dfw newborn photographer

There is something so fresh about this newborn session that I just love.  It literally feels like a breath of fresh air.   Little Ghirin holds a special place in my heart because I got to document his arrival!  I can’t wait to share those images with you as well, as long as mom and dad give me the thumbs up.  I have had the pleasure of getting to know Matt and Callie this last year. I photographed them right before they learned that the little man was on his way and I was over joyed when they were the first to answer my birthing call.  I’ll tell you more about that experience later, but for now, I can’t wait to share these images with you.

There were so many adjectives popping in my head while editing this session.  Fresh, calm, organic, peaceful, light and fluffy are just a few. There was a natural softness to these images that required something really unique from me.  Callie and Matt have a togetherness that is difficult to explain, and they are just so easy to be around.  Getting to know them and share them with you through my lens has truly been a highlight of my last year in business.

Hope you both enjoy your sneak peek! I can’t say thank you enough for allowing me to be apart of this amazing journey!  I just want to squish him (in a good way ;) )

It was fun to learn that Mr. Matt was a thumb sucker.  Considering Ghirin looks identical to his daddy, all that’s missing from this photo is Snoopy ;) (Matt’s prized stuffed animal as a child)

One of my favorite things about Callie and Matt is that they are so nostalgic.  I love how they incorporate meaningful things throughout their home and now, even with the birth of their son. Ghirin is named after Matt’s grandfather in honor of  “one of the greatest men to walk the face of the earth” as Matt so affectionately stated when explaining to me his name.  This cradle was handmade by Callie’s grandfather.  There are little plaques mounted on it with the names of all the loved babies who have slept in it.  I was honored to photograph its newest edition.

Does anyone else suddenly smell clean laundry and dryer sheets after viewing these?  Maybe I’ve lost my mind considering its 1:00 am!

Kealey Jo and Big Sister Janae Grace [dfw newborn and child photographer]

I have had so many newborns lately …  I love it!  This extra special girl also has an extra special big sister.  You guessed it … another 3 year old.  I think I have died and gone to heaven.  I knew Miss Janae would put on a show for me and she did not disappoint.  Some of you may recognize her from the famous “peeking out of the dryer” pic.  I swear, I get more comments about that single photo than any I have taken.  If you can’t already tell, I am obsessed with bright colors lately. I just love this location.  I’ve been shooting here a lot recently.  I found it nearly two years ago and have always felt like it was “my spot”.  Most of the time I like to mix it up and am willing to shoot just about anywhere, but I often come back to this spot as it holds a special place in my heart.  I know other photographers have since found it and that’s ok.  I know I should probably retire it, but I just can’t :)   So, for now, you will be seeing lots more of my favorite green house!

Mica and Jason … I hope you guys love these images as much as I do!  I couldn’t be happier for your family and Kealey Jo is just perfect!

Introducing the newest edition …

Miss Janae, I think you are in for a little competition.  Your little sis brought her A game with this grin ::swoon::

And, the little show stopper herself …

I am in LOVE with her eyelashes and freckles.  I always wanted freckles :(

I am also in LOVE with baby yawns … they are one of my very favorite things to capture :)

and another one.

::contented sigh::

this one is for Mike.  It was his favorite :)

IMG_0136blog

I typically only do sleepy babies as newborns tend to not look as adorable as they are wide awake.  Whether its crossed eyes or jerky limbs, it can be a challenge.  But, I must say … this is a favorite.  Isn’t she just so beautiful for less than 2 weeks old! Please refrain from sending me hate mail about the baby fever I have now inflicted on you.

IMG_0159blog

And last but not least, Janae and I had a little fun by ourselves. I brought these silly rain boots I bought forever ago and ever used and she just loved them.  I can’t think of anyone better to wear them!

IMG_0197blog

The best compliment I could ever receive from clients is “that is just SO her”.  That is truly my passion, my love, my prayer before each and every session.  While I love the soulful glances of a child, these last two capture the essence of the Janae Grace I have come to know and love!  This child has nothing but genuine smiles and giggles. I can’t wait to see you shine as a big sister! XOXOXO.

owen [dallas fort worth newborn photographer]

Crystal is out of town for the 4th of July, so I get the privilege of introducing this special session with you guys.  Check out this precious baby boy, Owen.  Isn’t he absolutely beautiful?  Man, do I have some “Baby Fever” after seeing these pictures.  These are a few of Crystal’s favorites.  You can’t miss his amazing long eyelashes or his cute screams.  I was just telling a friend the other day that as much as the screams and cries of a child may drive us crazy in a moment, they are a few of the things we miss when are children are away from us.  Sounds crazy, but the sounds of a baby are unforgettable!  Crystal captured some of her favorites when Owen’s mom stepped out of the room for just a moment.  Gotta love a true “sneak peek.”  Enjoy!

Here are those LONG eyelashes I was referring to…

owen_0106bwweb

If you have been blessed with the presence of a newborn, then these two photos should look familiar.  The precious silence of a sleeping baby and the mystery of the cries echoing through the house.  Is he tired or hungry?  Does he have a dirty diaper or does he want to be held close to his mommy’s heart?  Or is it a “just because” cry?  The famous check off list of figuring out why your baby is crying brings back some fun memories!!!!  These pictures are priceless!

Linkyn and Jadyn [dallas/ fort worth newborn and child photographer]

I had the pleasure of meeting the newest edition to the Fuller family yesterday.  Baby Linkyn is only 6 days old here and came 4 weeks early much to his mommy and daddy’s surprise.  He was seriously the easiest newborn I’ve ever photographed.  He was completely knocked out the whole time and just let me move and mold him however I wanted!  Such a sweet little boy and I know his family is so excited to have him as the newest edition to the family.  While most of the family is thrilled with his presence, big sister Jadyn is still assessing the situation :)   Getting the two of them together in a photo was a challenge I could not overcome, but I still got some really fun images of each of them separately.  Jadyn is the cutest little thing ever!  You can tell she is loved deeply by her big family.  It’s no wonder she isn’t so sure about the new guy in town.  They live on the lake, so it was perfect to capture her in her own element.  I just love the images of her so much.  18 months is typically a really difficult age to photograph, but she was such a little star and starring at her sweet face today was really a treat!

I am just thankful I wasn’t put in the stinky baby brother category … yesterday at least :)

Meet baby Linkyn. (isn’t that the coolest name?!)

Love all his blonde little hair (on his body and his head :) )

Doesn’t she have the sweetest little face?!

fuller_0174bw

When she holds her blankies or any super soft fabric, she makes this cute little monotone groan as she cuddles it.  At first, I was looking all around trying to figure out where the noise was coming from when her mom informed me that she has made that same noise from a very early age. It is so cute and pretty hysterical.  I hope this image reminds her whole family of that sweet “Jadyn noise” as she grows out of it.  Look at those gorgeous blue eyes!

I snapped this picture right before I left and its one of my very favorites.  I just want to eat her up!

Beautiful Isabella. [newborn video]

So, I met up with Jayme and Grant (and Gina!) to show them all their photos and when I popped in the DVD it was NOT sweet Isabella. I am still so confused as to how it even happened because I had literally sat in front of my computer 15 minutes before going to their house and re-watched Isabella’s video to make SURE I had grabbed the right one.  Well, I was embarrassed to say the very least, but thank goodness we were able to watch it on their home computer. Needless to say, moving into a studio just jumped up a couple of notches on my things to do list!

Oh, the life of a busy photographer …

Here are all the images from their session. Oh, what a sweet sweet baby she is, and how lucky I am to have been given the opportunity to photograph her ::sigh:: …

Don’t pinch me. [DFW Newborn Photographer]

I don’t want to wake up from this dream. Seriously. I can’t even believe the clients I have! Have I told you lately how much I love my job. Even after another 4 hour newborn session today, I just can’t get enough. Little Isabella (dont you LOVE that name) was a dream and I stuck around 4 hours just because I love what I do that much! I think I need to start setting a timer or I’m going to start having clients kick me out of their homes.
I am in love with her images almost as much as I am in love with her … and that’s A LOT! Oh, the baby fever ::sigh:: …

isabella_0042-copy-1-copy

LOVE little baby stretches.  They never stop being  cute.  I love my not so baby baby’s stretches every morning too …
