Kealey Jo and Big Sister Janae Grace [dfw newborn and child photographer]

I have had so many newborns lately …  I love it!  This extra special girl also has an extra special big sister.  You guessed it … another 3 year old.  I think I have died and gone to heaven.  I knew Miss Janae would put on a show for me and she did not disappoint.  Some of you may recognize her from the famous “peeking out of the dryer” pic.  I swear, I get more comments about that single photo than any I have taken.  If you can’t already tell, I am obsessed with bright colors lately. I just love this location.  I’ve been shooting here a lot recently.  I found it nearly two years ago and have always felt like it was “my spot”.  Most of the time I like to mix it up and am willing to shoot just about anywhere, but I often come back to this spot as it holds a special place in my heart.  I know other photographers have since found it and that’s ok.  I know I should probably retire it, but I just can’t :)   So, for now, you will be seeing lots more of my favorite green house!

Mica and Jason … I hope you guys love these images as much as I do!  I couldn’t be happier for your family and Kealey Jo is just perfect!

Introducing the newest edition …

Miss Janae, I think you are in for a little competition.  Your little sis brought her A game with this grin ::swoon::

And, the little show stopper herself …

I typically only do sleepy babies as newborns tend to not look as adorable as they are wide awake.  Whether its crossed eyes or jerky limbs, it can be a challenge.  But, I must say … this is a favorite.  Isn’t she just so beautiful for less than 2 weeks old! Please refrain from sending me hate mail about the baby fever I have now inflicted on you.

And last but not least, Janae and I had a little fun by ourselves. I brought these silly rain boots I bought forever ago and ever used and she just loved them.  I can’t think of anyone better to wear them!

The best compliment I could ever receive from clients is “that is just SO her”.  That is truly my passion, my love, my prayer before each and every session.  While I love the soulful glances of a child, these last two capture the essence of the Janae Grace I have come to know and love!  This child has nothing but genuine smiles and giggles. I can’t wait to see you shine as a big sister! XOXOXO.

Campbell Jane “CJ” [DFW Baby Photographer]

I think its safe to say I have a serious case of “baby fever”.  Don’t get me wrong … I LOVE newborns and cherish those amazing moments as a first time mommy with my tiny little girl.  But, there is just nothing better than a chunky drooling baby.  That time period between about 7-11 months is like none other.  It seems like by their first birthday, they just seem so big and they all of the sudden get tons of hair which make them start to look more like toddlers than babies.  One of my very favorite images of Mia Grace was taken by my talented photographer friend, Jamie Kutter, when Mia Grace was the same age as Campbell Jane is here.  I have it printed as a 30×20 and its the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning.  I really can’t put into words the way it makes me feel.  Shooting these images of a little girl whom I love very much took me back to that moment, which doesn’t seem like all that long ago.  This session meant so much to me!  Thanks, Lisa, for letting me capture your little miracle’s journey!

Well, meet Miss Campbell Jane.  This little girl was prayed for for many many years and its apparent that she is loved SO much by so many people.  Her little personality is already beaming!  She was so perfect out in the 100 degree Texas heat … she’s from Colorado!  I am not kidding when I say there are literally about 35 favorites I could share from this session.  No lie, I started starring my favorites and I ended up with 35, LOL.  We also took some mommy and me pictures, which are my favorite and I promise to share later!  Between my 9 sessions this week, I knew I needed to get a sneak peek up for her mom who will be out of touch for a week!  So, Lisa, here they are!  I had so much fun, despite how ridiculously hot it was.  I love her so much and I am so grateful to have gotten to spend some time with sweet “CJ”.  She is just beautiful!

I hope just one of these will make you feel something special! XOXOXO.IMG_0077blog

happy birthday america! [dallas fort worth child photographer]

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.  Our family decided last minute to head South for Mia Grace’s first trip to the beach!  We stayed in Surfside, TX and had such a wonderful little holiday. I can’t say thank you enough to my clients for your willingness to reschedule due to our little vehicle mishap.  It was a much needed break before the craziness begins.  I think I have more sessions booked this week than any week I’ve been in business so far. I can’t even begin to imagine what the fall will be like!  Speaking of fall, I am already booking sessions!  I know I know, its crazy to think of those family Christmas pictures when its scorching outside, but please give us a call asap if you want a session. Weekend (Sunday)  sessions are especially filling quickly.

As a tribute to America and her birthday, I thought I’d share more from Madison’s session.  Her mommy will never forget when these were taken :)   As I was photographing her, she told me all about the 4th of July and why we celebrate it!  There is nothing cuter than hearing a little three-year-old say … “Happy Birthday America!”

No worries … I’ll share some cute snapshots from our trip as soon as this week is over and I’m all caught up! :)

owen [dallas fort worth newborn photographer]

Crystal is out of town for the 4th of July, so I get the privilege of introducing this special session with you guys.  Check out this precious baby boy, Owen.  Isn’t he absolutely beautiful?  Man, do I have some “Baby Fever” after seeing these pictures.  These are a few of Crystal’s favorites.  You can’t miss his amazing long eyelashes or his cute screams.  I was just telling a friend the other day that as much as the screams and cries of a child may drive us crazy in a moment, they are a few of the things we miss when are children are away from us.  Sounds crazy, but the sounds of a baby are unforgettable!  Crystal captured some of her favorites when Owen’s mom stepped out of the room for just a moment.  Gotta love a true “sneak peek.”  Enjoy!

Here are those LONG eyelashes I was referring to…

If you have been blessed with the presence of a newborn, then these two photos should look familiar.  The precious silence of a sleeping baby and the mystery of the cries echoing through the house.  Is he tired or hungry?  Does he have a dirty diaper or does he want to be held close to his mommy’s heart?  Or is it a “just because” cry?  The famous check off list of figuring out why your baby is crying brings back some fun memories!!!!  These pictures are priceless!

back by popular demand! [dallas fort worth child photographer]

I am still in love with this session.  In between editing other sessions and all the shoots I’ve had lately, its so nice to to come back to Madison and find a new favorite!  I’ve decided that three year olds are the coolest people on the planet!  If you have a three year old, you must capture this magical age … I’d love to get these images of your little star.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Madison is in the entertainment industry at some point.  Seriously, I can work some magic, but not miracles! She did all of these little things all on her own and that is why they are natural and real … not contrived or uncomfortable.

I told her mom I really wanted her to wear bright colors because last time we did a shoot we did the pretty dress in a flower field. This time, I wanted to spice it up and leave room for Madi to, well, be Madi …

While I love black and white, all of her images just scream color and I love it!  It makes me so happy!

Here are some more results from my muse :)
