Elise is one of those girls that upon spending a few hours with during a session, I think to myself … Lord, I sure hope my girls are as classy, well-spoken and polite as this when they are teenagers. And let me not forget the hair … good gracious, I’ve never seen more perfect hair!
It has been such a joy photographing Elise and her family over the last few years. Her sweet family makes me truly excited for what life will look like when I have teenagers. Have I mentioned how much I love teenagers? Really, I do.

Miriam, Elise’s momma, said something recently that struck me. She mentioned how important senior portraits are for her because she wanted to get that last portrait “while they are still mine”. Wow, I couldn’t have said it any better. Our children will always be “ours” but eventually we’ll be sharing … a lot. I love that Miriam will have portraits of her family with her kids as young adults. Too many of us stop doing that when they are five. Time just goes by way too fast …

I love the locations we collaborated on for her session … so timeless and beautiful, just like Elise.

The Wright family also braved the cold for a quick mini family session. Chris even found his way back from A&M for family portraits and I’m sure it was the highlight of his time home 😉 It truly feels like just a few months ago when I took Chris’ senior portraits; It’s really impossible to believe that’s been two years ago. It’s really an honor photographing you guys year after year and I’m so proud that I made the cut (wink wink).
