Hunter is seriously one awesome kid. In the face of adversity, he has such an easiness about him that is really inspiring. Not many teenage boys can navigate HS as effortlessly as Hunter makes it appear. He’s got tons of friends, his HS football team just won state – you get the picture. Throw in only hearing about half of what the rest of us hear, and then suddenly losing your mom at the start of High School … I think most of us would throw in the towel. Not this guy, hence the title of this blog and the name he coined himself. I’d have to agree that he’s a total stud.

My favorite part of the session was photographing Hunter on the football field. Knowing that this year will hold so many awesome memories for him for rest of his life, with the Argyle Eagles winning state this year, but also that he found a way to commemorate his mom by having her name, Joy, on his shoes – how fitting. From what I hear, she was his number one fan and she was a special woman who did so much for her community. She even has a garden and plaque outside of the school as a tribute to her life.

Thanks again, Hunter and Tommy, for hiring me! It was such a pleasure meeting with you both and I can’t wait for you to see the finished portraits I have for you.
