A 10 year old boy. skateboard. guitar.  Need i say more?  This session was a photographers dream (or my dream anyway).  Don’t get me wrong, I love photographing families, but its a super nice change of pace to get to focus on one subject.  A subject that actually listens and takes direction, doesn’t throw temper tantrums, doesn’t need a diaper change … man, I died and went to heaven 🙂 It also seems like with boys, that moms stop getting their picture taken between the ages of 5 and 17 (just in time for senior pictures).  I would encourage all parents to get photographs of their little men to document this wonderful age.

Riley is one passionate little dude.  He’s into skateboards and guitars and I’m so glad he brought them along.  I really strive for photos to reflect the people in them, and this is a great way to use “props” without it looking cheesy.  Riley, it was great to hang out with you.  I think you rocked it man!  And momma … sorry for your wait 😉  Enjoy.

So, what do you think?  His first album cover maybe?

I think he looks about 17 here.

Riley also entertained me with his sweet tricks!  Seriously, I had so much fun watching him get after it.
