Like his older brother Braden (2017), Jonah has the Petty boys’ signature blue eyes and beautiful eyelashes. Not only did they inherit their looks from their parents, but character. Seriously, the Pettys know how to raise young men to be kind and respectable! Jonah even offered to carry my camera bag between locations, which usually gets left in the dust and dirt during sessions because it’s a bit too heavy to maneuver with while I’m shooting.

Because an overload of traffic interfered with our first session, I had the opportunity to photograph Jonah twice (once before COVID-19 and once after…needless to say the traffic was a bit more sparse the second time)! Jonah was such a joy to talk to and, as simple as it sounds, he is just a great kid. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him as he heads to College Station to attend university next year. I’ll definitely be thinking about Jonah’s mom, Beth, in this next season along with other soon-to-be empty-nesters. I imagine it can be such a bittersweet and heavy time. Congrats, Jonah! I wish you the best!
