I had the pleasure of photographing Miles the year after his brother Jake graduated. How lucky am I? Both he and his brother have a love of football and got to play together to earn their state championship rings.
This last year was especially challenging for Miles as he had to overcome a freak injury. While it must have been extremely scary, life seems to dish out a heavy dose of valuable lessons during trials of this nature. I know Miles made his parents proud by the way he handled the adversity. Still, I really felt for his mom this year. Sending your first off to college can bring sadness with it, but there’s also the excitement of what’s to come. But sending sons back-to-back would be super difficult! Lucky for her, she has another young man still at home…and no, he’s not leaving this year!
Miles has such a laid-back personality and a sincere smile, both of which made him great to work with and are extremely evident in his photos. And you’ve got to love that dapper, blue suit.
