Lucy has one of the best “serious” faces of all times. Her eyes are just gorgeous—a trait that definitely runs in the family, as you’ll see in siblings’ Max and Charlee’s 2018 senior portrait session—and I remember using lenses that I don’t often pull out so that I could get as close to her face as possible during our shoot. As a result, Lucy’s session resulted in one of my all-time favorite images—a close up shot taken next to an old gas pump.
The closeness Lucy shares with her mom is so sweet, and not surprising either considering she’s such an old soul. As a mom of two daughters, I love paying attention to how moms and daughters interact and it was clear that these two share a lot of love! The special relationship Lucy shares with Max and Charlee was just as evident; during their session this year, Lucy picked out all of Charlee’s outfits (she has such an eye for style!) and Max asked to have a photo taken with Lucy before anyone else. It has been such an honor to get to know so many members of this sweet family over the years.
