This week’s Throwback Thursday is taking us back about five years (five years, seriously?) to this gorgeous girl’s senior portrait session! I met Peyton when she was still a middle school cheerleader, and I remember this session as if it was yesterday. I mean, come on! How does the time fly this fast? Just this year I had the privilege of photographing her little sister, Presley, and one thing is for certain—looking like a rockstar runs in this family!

By the time Peyton reached her senior year, she had transformed from a shy preteen to a confident young woman. I remember that she had a very specific vision for her shoot, and yet trusted me completely to capture her. Peyton was intentional and artful about the colors she chose for her session, resulting in a stunning, cohesive set of images! I can totally relate to wanting to wear the same colors (let’s just say my closet is very grey), but the key is to have items that create unique looks, and Peyton nailed it!

I’m fortunate to get to see Jana’s girls every few years when it’s time for updated family pictures, and I’m always blown away by how intelligent and focused Peyton is. Her future is right around the corner and I see this girl headed for great things!
