I seriously love this family so much. If you stopped by the blog yesterday then you caught my throwback post of McKenna’s senior session, who just so happens to be Kortland’s older sister. Today the spotlight is on Kortland’s class of 2018 senior portraits in Grapevine and Southlake!

Like I mentioned before, Kortland and McKenna share some commonalities in the looks department (i.e. they are both truly stunning) but the overall vibe of their senior portrait sessions could not have been more different…which I love! Kortland had lots of ideas for her senior portraits and we truly collaborated to bring this gallery to life. She helped me get out of my comfort zone and ultimately put her trust in me creatively—resulting in one of my favorite sessions of all time.

When I think about Kortland I think of the word juxtapose. I had really put her in a box in my head, and expected an artsy shoot that involved either graffiti in the city or a flower crown and long flowing dresses. But she’s such an anomaly. She wore mostly black but wanted natural images. She likes dark backgrounds but loves the sunshine too. City streets and graffiti were exchanged for a greenhouse and smoke bombs, with a side of high-fashion wide leg pants and a vintage camera.

I’m obsessed with the end result. So thankful that you trusted me with your vision, Kortland!
